Just Sloth it Adventure

This honeymoon package is for the less active looking to see the sites but not be fully active in physical adventures. We include some adventure but the most of it is site-seeing allowing you to really enjoy the grounds of the hotels just doing half day tours.

The tour will begin with a chance to relax in the hotspings of the Tabacon Resort located at the base of the Arenal Volcano. You can treat her to a lava rock massage or just enjoy the thermal waters. We then travel into the clouds to the remote Villa Blanca Hotel where you will have a chance to relax. Your trip will end just south of Dominical staying in the small boutique hotel of Cuna del Angel located on the Pacific coast.

Day 1 - Arrive and Drive to Arenal Volcano (Nayara - Tabacon Resort - Casa Luna Lodge)

Today your private guide and driver will meet you outside of the San Jose Airport and take you to the Arenal Volcano. This is a 2 1/2 hour drive from the airport. Your final destination will be one of the three different options of hotels we have for this itinerary which are the Nayara Resort voted as one of the most romantic in the America's, the Tabacon Resort which has what we consider the best hotsprings in all of Costa Rica, and the Casa Luna Lodge which is a beautiful 3-Star option if your not looking to break the bank. (Meals: None)

Day 2 - Danaus Reserve & HotSprings (Nayara - Tabacon Resort - Casa Luna Lodge)

Today you will have the chance to sleep in and rise to the views of the beautiful Arenal Volcano. The morning activity will be an easy walk through the Danaus Nature Reserve which will give you a chance to see all the interesting critters of the rainforest. In the afternoon we will take you to the Hotsprings where you will have the opportunity to relax with breath-taking views of the Arenal Volcano. (Meals: Breakfast & Dinner)

Day 3 - Travel to San Lorenzo Cloud-forest & Zipline (Villa Blanca)

If you want a romantic setting there really is no other place like the cloud-forest to make this happen. With the cool weather and constantly changing weather it makes for a unique experience and a chance to relax, be surrounded by nature, and enjoy the peace and traquility of some of Costa Rica's most biodiverse settings. Before we arrive to the remarkable Villa Blanca we will be doing a nearby zipline. This is not the highest or fastest of the ziplines in Costa Rica but it is good enough to give you a little adventure without going too crazy. After the zipline we will arrive to the Villa Blanca Hotel which a former vacation home of a former President of Costa Rica. It has now been turned into a luxurious lodge with small private cabins all around amidst the cloud-forest. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 4 - Visit Poas Volcano Crater (Villa Blanca)

Today is a drive through the coffee plantations and a visit to the Poas Volcano crater. This is a crater that has access up to the very tip of the crater where you have a chance to look down into the crater. You will also be driving through rural small towns of Costa Rica and will have a chance to make some local stops along the way. In the afternoon you will be back at Villa Blanca and a chance to relax at the hotel. (Meals: Breakfast & Lunch)

Day 5 - Travel to Central Pacific (Cuna del Angel)

Today you will travel just south of the town of Dominical where you will be staying in a small boutique hotel called Cuna del Angel. This is a great spot and very romantic with some of the best food on the coast. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 6 - Relax at the beach (Cuna del Angel)

There are many activities to do in the area or you can have the option of just relaxing on some of the many nearby beaches. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 7 - Relax at the beach (Cuna del Angel)

Today is another day to relax or we can go out and explore some of the many beaches, waterfalls, or other adventures in the area. There are options to go whale watching, surf lessons, waterfall rappeling and much more it just depends what you might be in the mood for. (Meals: Breakfast)

Day 8 - Fly Home!

Today depending on your flight time we will make the 3 hour drive back to the San Jose airport. (Meals: Breakfast)

Tabacon Resort & Spa - Tabacon Resort & Spa is one of the more famous hotels in Costa Rica. It can be a great match for families looking for a great pool area with a slide for the kids. It can be a crowded area and is not for everyone. But it boasts the most unique set of hot springs pools.

Cuna del Angel - Another perfect location is the Cuna del Angel Hotel which is a very small hotel on the Pacific Coast just south of Dominical. Here you will be surrounded by the jungle with views of the Pacific Ocean. The rooms of Cuna del Angel are luxurious with all the finest amenities. One thing that seperates this hotel apart from others is the food! An amazing chef offers you some of the finest meals in all of Costa Rica.

Villa Blanca Hotel - A very isolated hotel this is the former weekend home of an Ex-President of Costa Rica. The Villa Blanca Hotel sits alone in the clouds on a large plantation piece of property where the jungle is returning to its natural habitat and the native species of the cloud-forest can be found all around. The weather is cool and the vibe is very romantic as you can sit up in the clouds and have startling views of all of Costa Rica while sitting at the fire place. The rooms are all private bungalows that extend out with a balcony that give you views into the cloud-forest.

With a country full of amazing people, a landscape that day after day just blows your mind, and some of the best rivers on the planet, I decided to call Costa Rica home. I made my early career whitewater rafting on the Pacuare River and working as an adventure guide for different companies.
