Overnight Rafting Adventures
CRR is a company that evolved around the sport of rafting. When it comes to running rivers in Costa Rica there is nothing we can say we enjoy more. Our off seasons is filled with exploring some of the most remote areas of Costa Rica looking for the next new great adventure. We are always willing to offer an expedition to some of Costa Rica's more unknown rivers and an night of camping around the river. Our most common overnight river trip is a visit to our lodge on the Pacuare river which gives you the feel of Tarzan becoming an Indigenous member. Our lodge was built with the help of the local indigenous tribe Cabecar and makes for a night spent with one of them most breath-taking views of the Pacuare canyon.
An overnight river trip with CRR is like going to NYC and seeing the Statue of Liberty. It is always on the top of everyones list assuming you enjoy a little adventure and fun with the family. We offer a number of different ideas for trips and custom make each itinerary to fit what you are looking for depending on the age of the kids or if you are looking for extreme adventure we offer 3 night river trips of class V rafting, hiking to the indigenous reserve and making a full blown expedition while exploring the canyon of the Pacuare River.
This particular description is of our one night trip on the Pacuare River. We will be entering the river from an area called La Cruz where your 4x4 transportation will take you to the put-in and you will get geared up for your day of rafting. Here we will begin a 4 hour run of class II & III rafting. We will also be spending some time hiking to different waterfalls along they way, visiting an indigenous community, and enjoying a river lunch prepared for you by your CRR river guides.
When we arrive to the CRR Pacuare Lodge you will have the chance to relax with a gorgeous view of the Pacuare Canyon and see untouched virgin rainforest as far as the eye can see. Your dinner will be prepared for you by your river guides and you will get a good night sleep as you enjoy the soft breeze from the canyon and the sound of the river.
On the second day you will wake up with the sounds of the jungle and leisurely get ready for another day of adventure and fun. This is the more intense day of rafting where we will be visiting the Pacuare canyon and rowing through some of the larger rapids and most scenic area of the river. Today is filled with class III & a few class IV rapids to keep everyone wet and the adrenaline flowing. We will enjoy another lunch on the river and make our way to the take out point in a town called Siquirres where we will head on to your next destination.
In our opinion there is not better option to see some of the most scenic areas of Costa Rica. Because of the years of experience and our private operation on the river we operate with a excellent safety record and take families with kids of ages 8 years old depending on the water level. If you have small kids its good to make this trip from December to July where the water level has a better chance of running low.
