2 - Night Level 5 River Rafting Adventure

If you have experience as a rafter and you are looking for a chance to run some of Costa Rica's best rapids then we offer our two night expedition on the Pacuare River. Here you will have the chance to run almost the entire river including the locally famous "Upper Pacuare" where you will enjoy some class V rapids such as Bobo Falls, Devils Mouth, Blood Hydro, and many more. This is a great run but only for experts.

We begin our day by driving deep into the mountains of the Talamanca where we arrive to only indigenous land. Here we take the 4x4 through the mountains to the upper put in area and begin our rafting adventure. The first 4 hours are just class III & IV. Just before we get to the canyon of the class V section we will set up camp and get a good nights rest for the intense second day of scouting rapids and rowing. Our night will be spent on the side of the river in modest/survival camping style.

When we wake up for the second day we will enjoy a hearty breakfast and get ready for the class V section. This is a section that will take us around 5 hours and is filled with many difficult rapids. Because of the class V level there are many rapids we will have to stop and scout to re-confirm the lines we will be taking which really just jacks the adrenaline up even more. After we make our way through the class V section we will arrive to the CRR River Lodge where we will spend our second night.

Our third day is the most scenic and although it is just class III & IV rapids we will be rowing through some of Costa Rica's most startling canyons. Here you will see walls that rise 300 feet from the river bank straight up. We will also see numerous waterfalls that fall into the river. We will arrive to the take out point around 2pm where you will be transported to your next destination.
