Southern - Central Pacific Hotels, Costa RicaHotel Villas Rio MarHotel Villas Rio Mar is perfect if you are looking for a very nice three star hotel. Hotel Villas Rio Mar is not located right on the beach but it is in walking distance. It is just outside the center of the quaint little surf town of Dominical. The hotel has beautiful little bungalows, a large pool, a spa, and a good restaurant. The service here is excellent and many day-tours are available. It should be noted that this hotel does not offer very large rooms but they make up for it with beautiful patios outside of each room with a sitting area and even an outside refrigerator. Cuna del Angel HotelCuna del Angel has been a hotel we have been using for years. The phrase "Cuna del Angel" means "Crib of the Angel" and it lives up to its name, being a very cozy hotel for travelers looking for a heavenly setting. This is a small boutique hotel that is located in the southern Pacific region of Costa Rica. It is situated just 7 km south of the beach town of Dominical and is surrounded by lush tropical forest. La Cusinga Rainforest EcolodgeLa Cusinga Rainforest Ecolodge is for the nature lovers. La Cusinga is located just off the main highway heading south about 30 km south of the town of Dominical. Here you will find some of the best conservation practices of any ecolodge in the country. They have four of the possible five leaves that are accredited to those hotels dedicated to operating their hotels in accordance to ecotourism and sustainable standards. Rancho Pacifico Costa RicaRancho Pacific is one of the most upscale hotels in all of Costa Rica. They have set the bar pretty high when it comes to luxury in an eco-setting. This hotel is visited by some of the rich and famous from Cheryl Crowe to Anderson Cooper. It has a beautiful view of the Pacific located very high up in the ridge that runs along the southern coast. The location is at 2,000ft and they have no A/C which is fine because you should not need since you're at the perfect elevation and surrounded by nature you might be asking for some extra sheets in the early morning.
